Use Voice! is a simple android app that uses your voice to search, pick and call a contact from your address book. It is not a replacement of the general address book application. It does not allow editing of contacts -like addition, modification or removal of contact. Also the list does not display the contact number.
The built-in speech recognizer is based on Pocketsphinx by the CMU Sphinx project. The speech recognition service is exposed as Restful API that is consumed by the app to generate personalized dictionary (graphene to phoneme translation) and grammar (of speech commands) - based on user's contact list and pre-defined commands - on the fly and store that in the mobile handset. The app uses this generated dictionary and grammar to decipher the commands even off-line. The back-end speech recognition service is flexible to work with different languages including English (US), Hindi etc.
